c.1949 Marx Dick Tracy Sparkling Riot Car in Original Box
Awesome friction drive tin litho "Dick Tracy Sparkling Riot Car with Siren" manufactured by Marx in excellent+ to near mint condition. Comes complete with original box which grades VG+. Scarce blue version features sparkling machine gun protruding from the passenger side front windshield. Studebaker-style vehicle lithoed with lotsa detail including perspective graphics of the occupants in all windows. Embossed with front and rear raised fenders and emergency roof light. Makes a grinding siren sound as it moves forward or reverse. Front wheels are wooden; rear pair are rubber to provide traction. All text box printed in green includes "Dick Tracy" name predominately at the top followed by toy name, Marx company name and trademark. Green stars flank the text on both edges.
